We dont use the word ingenious too often. As far as sleeping bags go 3.9 pounds is pretty light especially when youre talking about a bag that will keep you warm in the dead of winter. On top of all the warmth the Big Agnes Storm King 0-degree Sleeping Bag has a roomy rectangular design and can even be zipped together with another rectangular Big Agnes bag. The main reason for such a light weight is the fact that Big Agnes eliminated unnecessary insulation from the bottom of the bag. When youre sleeping on top of insulation it doesnt keep you warm because it has no loft and therefore no air or heat is trapped inside. Instead Big Agnes put a Sleeping Pad sleeve in its place so you have the trapped air in the sleeping pad keeping you warm and at the same time your pad stays underneath you. On to top of that Big Agnes went with a hydrophobic down fill so the Storm King will maintain insulating properties if it should happen to get wet. 0 degree temperature rating 650-fill hydrophobic down insulation Rectangular shape Water-resistant nylon ripstop outer shell Down proof nylon taffeta lining Ergonomic hood Draft tube and collar 70-inch side zipper Integrated pad sleeve Nylon stuff sack and mesh storage sack included Item #BAG002X Learn more Tech Specs: Material shell nylon ripstop lining nylon taffeta Insulation 650-fill DownTek water repellent down Shape rectangular Zipper full-length Max User Height regular 5 ft 10 in long 6 ft 6 in Shoulder Circumference regular 70 in long 73 in Hip Circumference regular 65 in long 68 in Foot Circumference 53 in Draft Tube yes Pad Retainer yes Fill Weight regular 24.5 oz long 26.5 oz Degree 0 F Storage Sack yes mesh Stuff Sack yes nylon Stuff Size regular 8 x 9 in long 8 x 10 in Claimed Weight regular 3 lb 9 oz long 3 lb 13 oz Recommended Use camping Manufacturer Warranty lifetime Learn more
